Teaching Assistant Role Overview

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students who may have struggled in mainstream education, helping them re-engage with learning and develop confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEMH needs, behaviour challenges, and autism (ASD)

  • Work closely with teachers to deliver engaging and accessible lessons

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support

  • Assist in behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies

  • Help create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

  • Encourage students to achieve academic outcomes, including GCSE qualifications
