Job description
We are seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and passionate SENCo to join our welcoming mainstream primary school in the WD19 area from January. The school has a well-established Additional Resource Provision (ARP) and a strong commitment to inclusive practice and high-quality provision for all pupils.
The Role:
The successful candidate will lead and manage SEND provision across the school, working closely with the ARP team, class teachers, senior leaders, external agencies, and families to ensure pupils with additional needs are supported effectively and thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee SEND provision across the mainstream school and ARP
Develop, implement, and review EHCPs and SEN support plans
Work collaboratively with staff, parents/carers, and external professionals
Monitor progress and impact of interventions
Support and advise staff on inclusive practice and differentiation
Ensure compliance with SEND legislation and best practice
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
The National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete)
Experience working as a SENCo or in a SEND leadership role
Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A commitment to inclusive education
