Teaching Assistant – Special School (Redhill)

Location: Redhill, Surrey

Contract: Full-time / Term-time only

Salary: £98 to £115 per day

Start date: As soon as possible

Our aim is to help every pupil reach their full potential — academically, socially, and emotionally — in a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment.

The Role

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and resilient Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will work closely with teachers, therapists and other support staff to help create engaging, individualised learning experiences for our pupils.

Key responsibilities:

• Support pupils’ learning across a range of subjects and activities

• Assist with the delivery of personalised education and care plans (EHCPs)

• Promote positive behaviour and independence

• Provide emotional and practical support to pupils throughout the school day

• Help prepare learning materials and maintain a safe, stimulating classroom environment

• Work collaboratively with staff, families and professionals to support each pupil’s progress

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs

• Has patience, empathy, and a positive attitude

• Enjoys working as part of a team

• Has good communication skills and a willingness to learn

• Ideally has some experience working with children or young people with SEND (training can be provided)
