​Parent and Child Practitioner – Mother & Baby Unit

Epsom, Surrey - Permanent £28,000 - £34,000 (experience dependent) Daytime-only shifts

We’re looking for experienced Senior Support Workers to join our Mother & Baby Unit in Epsom. This is a rewarding role where you’ll support families, oversee shifts, and help create safe, therapeutic environments. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families, working within a trauma-informed, social work-led environment.

What You’ll Do

• Lead daytime shifts (no overnights) ensuring consistency and safety.

• Provide hands-on parenting support and record observations.

• Work closely with social workers and assessors.

• Escalate safeguarding concerns appropriately.

Essential

• Able to work 6-12hour shifts including weekends on a rota.

• Experience supporting children & families (residential, early help, domestic abuse, parenting support, etc.)

• Confident leading shifts and supporting teams

• Strong understanding of safeguarding & trauma-informed practice

• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)

Essential

• Level 3+ Health & Social Care qualification,

• Parent Assess knowledge,

• experience with complex family needs.
