Are you a qualified SEND Teacher with QTS looking for a rewarding role in a specialist school in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire?

Uniform Education is recruiting two SEND Teachers (ASD specialists) to join a well-supported specialist SEN school in HP12, working with pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and additional learning needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN Teacher or Autism Specialist Teacher seeking a long-term role in a structured, supportive environment.

SEND Teacher Role – ASD Specialist (HP12)

As a SEND Teacher in Buckinghamshire, you will deliver tailored education to pupils with autism, supporting both academic progress and social development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess differentiated lessons for students with ASD and additional needs

• Develop and implement Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) alongside SENCOs and support staff

• Create a structured, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment

• Use specialist strategies to support communication, behaviour, and social skills

• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and parents

• Monitor and track progress, contributing to reports and reviews

• Implement and review EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plans)

• Uphold safeguarding standards and promote student wellbeing

Requirements – SEND Teacher (High Wycombe)

To be considered for this SEND Teacher job in Buckinghamshire, you must have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

• Experience teaching pupils with Autism (ASD) and SEN

• Strong behaviour management and use of positive reinforcement strategies

• Ability to differentiate lessons to meet individual needs

• Knowledge and experience of EHCPs

• A proactive, patient, and adaptable teaching approach

Desirable Skills

• Additional qualifications or training in SEND / Autism strategies

• Experience with TEACCH, PECS, or Makaton

• Background working in a specialist SEN school or provision
