Senior Physiotherapist
Location: Hillingdon, West London
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Start Date: ASAP
Are you an experienced Physiotherapist registered with the HCPC in the UK? Do you have a passion for supporting children and young people with complex physical and learning needs?
Uniform Education is recruiting a Senior Physiotherapist for a specialist school in Hillingdon. The school provides tailored education and therapeutic support for pupils with a range of needs, including PMLD, SLD, Autism, and physical disabilities.
About the Role:
As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will:
Lead physiotherapy provision within the school, ensuring high standards of care and evidence-based practice
Assess pupils’ physical and postural needs, developing individualised therapy and mobility programmes
Support pupils with motor development, positioning, transfers, and mobility to promote independence and participation
Advise staff and families on safe handling techniques, specialist equipment, and seating systems
Work closely with the wider multi-disciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, and teaching staff
Contribute to EHCP targets, progress reports, and reviews
Supervise and mentor junior therapists or therapy assistants as required
Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health, and safety standards within all therapy practice
What We’re Looking For:
HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist (essential)
Significant post-qualification experience, ideally within paediatrics or a special school setting
Expertise in postural management, hydrotherapy, and use of mobility equipment
Strong leadership and mentoring skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting pupils’ physical development
Enhanced DBS on the update service
