Are you an experienced Behaviour Mentor in South West London looking to make a real difference in young people’s lives?

Uniform Education is recruiting a Behaviour Mentor to work across a range of schools and alternative provisions in Kingston, supporting students with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), behavioural challenges, and additional learning needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in PRU settings, youth work, care, or behaviour support roles.

Behaviour Mentor Role – Kingston

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will support students both in and out of the classroom, helping them regulate behaviour and re-engage with learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with behavioural needs

• Support pupils with SEMH and challenging behaviour

• Implement behaviour strategies and maintain clear boundaries

• Build strong, positive relationships with students and staff

• Support learning within the classroom and alternative settings

• Adapt quickly across different school environments

Requirements – Behaviour Mentor (Kingston)

To be considered for this Behaviour Mentor job in South West London, you should have:

• Experience working with young people (education, PRU, youth work, care, coaching, etc.)

• Experience in a PRU or alternative provision (desirable but not essential)

• Training such as Team Teach or Conflict Resolution (advantageous)

• Strong resilience, empathy, and behaviour management skills

• Ability to set and maintain clear boundaries

• A flexible, proactive, and adaptable approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
