Teachers & LSAs – Making the Most of Summer
After a busy year in classrooms across London and the Home Counties, our teachers and Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) have been enjoying a well-earned summer break. From quiet UK getaways to sunny trips abroad, it’s been a time to recharge before the new term begins in September.
And while many of our team have been out exploring, Uniform Education has been busy too—meeting new teachers and LSAs, and preparing for one of the busiest times of the school year.
Staying Closer to Home
Some chose to keep it simple this year, enjoying the best of what the UK has to offer. Cornwall’s coast, Norfolk’s open beaches, and the Cotswolds’ rolling countryside made for the perfect backdrop to slow down and relax.
“Cornwall never disappoints – I didn’t even check my emails for two days, which is a record!” – Elena Rossi
“We had four seasons in one day at Holkham Beach, but the picnic still happened.” – Isabelle Fournier
Heading for the Sun
Others packed a suitcase and headed abroad. From the harbours of Cyprus to Italy’s Amalfi coastline, and the winding streets of Santorini, our staff have been making the most of warm evenings and fresh sea air.
“I started every morning in Paphos with a coffee and the sound of the waves – bliss.” – Sophia Zhang
“In Amalfi, I walked everywhere. The views made it impossible to take a bad photo.” – Marco Bianchi
City Stays & European Evenings
There were also a few city breaks in the mix—Barcelona for late-night tapas by the beach, Nice for laid-back Riviera charm. Wherever they went, it’s clear everyone found their own way to unwind.
“Nice was all about slow mornings and long, lazy evenings.” – Ananya Das
“Barcelona came alive at night – the beach, the music, the food… I didn’t want to leave.” – David Novak
We’re Here While You’re Away
Even in the summer months, we’re still here connecting great teachers and LSAs with schools across London and the Home Counties. September always comes around quickly, and we’re already placing people in permanent, long-term, and day-to-day roles.
If you’re looking for:
SEND jobs in London
Primary teacher roles in the Home Counties
Secondary teaching opportunities
Classroom support assistant vacancies
…we’d be happy to help you find the right fit.
A Few More Words from Our Team
“At sunset on the cliffs of Trebarwith, I finally switched off the school-year brain.” – Elena Rossi
“Cyprus views deserve every filter… and I barely opened my laptop all week!” – Sophia Zhang
“Barcelona at night was electric—music, sea air, and no lesson plans in sight.” – David Novak
“Best souvenir from Santorini? The memory of a quiet evening walk, not the fridge magnet.” – Farah Khan
