Office Managers in Education: Supporting Schools Behind the Scenes
At the heart of every well-organised and efficient school is an experienced Office Manager. At Uniform Education, we’re proud to work with a network of skilled administrators and office leaders, placing them in roles where their expertise makes a genuine difference across schools in London and the Home Counties.
Who Are We? Uniform Education is a London-based education recruitment agency with strong partnerships across primary, secondary, SEN, and alternative provision schools. We support schools year-round with high-quality staffing solutions, including essential office and admin personnel who ensure everything behind the scenes runs seamlessly.
The Role of a School Office Manager Office Managers play a pivotal role in school operations. From coordinating staff and managing front-office activity, to overseeing attendance, safeguarding records, and school communications—they are the central hub of information and support. Those with experience in systems like SIMS (School Information Management System) and Arbor are especially in demand, as many schools require staff who can hit the ground running with these platforms.
What We Offer We work with schools across the London Boroughs and the Home Counties to provide Office Managers on a short-term, long-term, and permanent basis. Whether it's maternity cover, interim support, or a new permanent role, we ensure a great fit for both the candidate and the school.
Many of our placements involve leadership of the admin team, finance and HR coordination, and safeguarding compliance. Our candidates are supported throughout the placement process and offered guidance where needed on systems, policies, and school-specific procedures.
Who We’re Looking For We’re keen to speak with candidates who have previous experience working as School Office Managers, Admin Leads, or HR/Attendance Officers, especially those proficient in SIMS and Arbor systems. You should be well-organised, personable, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities with professionalism and discretion.
Experience in education settings is essential, and a working knowledge of safeguarding and GDPR will be highly regarded.
