Uniform Education are excited to be working exclusively with a SEN school based in Sutton that require dynamic and proactive teaching assistants to work alongside their students of all ages.
This is a Foundation special school for learners aged between 3 and 19 years that have Severe/Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and/or disabilities (SLD/PMLD), as well as learners who, additionally, are on the Autistic Spectrum (ASD) with complex needs.
The school take great pride in developing and growing to meet the highly individualised needs of each of their learners. Their rich curriculum and strong teaching, delivered through the integrated approach of their teaching, therapy and nursing teams reflect and ensure the achievement of the aspirations and outcomes of all of their young people - from the moment they embark on their learning journey to the point they transition to adulthood.
This is a true community school, with everyone contributing to the development and well-being of their learners - parents, carers, families and Governors, as well as other professionals and their many supportive partners.
Some observations from Ofsted has reported that:
- Pupils make good progress so that by the time they are ready to leave, they are very well prepared for the next phase of their lives and education.
- Teaching is usually good and some is outstanding.
- School leaders have developed robust systems which provide them with good information about their school's strengths and weaknesses.
If you are an enthusiastic teaching assistant, with SEN experience and available to start a new role and then I would welcome hearing from you immediately with an updated CV in the first instance.
