Uniform Education are working in partnership with a SEND school based in Southend, who are looking to appoint a primary SEMH teacher to start immediately or in September 2019.
This role would involve teaching the primary curriculum to disengaged students who have been removed from a mainstream school setting to an environment of alternative provisions. This role would be perfect for someone with a strong character, who is resilient and dedicated to providing a second chance of success to the pupils studying there. All students have an EHCP, primarily SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), some exhibit very challenging behaviour and a mainstream schooling has proved not be the appropriate setting for them.
We can offer you an academy that:
- Has dedicated staff that are supportive and passionate about providing the best possible opportunities and education for each individual.
- Celebrates difference, who constantly challenges and resolves conflict, always having high expectations about student behaviour, relationships and attainment.
- Has smaller classes and amazing staff that truly understand SEMH they feel that once a student starts at their school they have every opportunity to turn their lives around. Every child has the right to achieve and they believe in helping them in every possible way.
The position is a permanent teaching post for the suitable applicant.
