Uniform Education are working with a lovely SEND school in South London, who are looking to appoint a teacher in September 2019.
The school is based very close to Waddon station and also offers parking on site. The school is a school that provides an education to 45 pupils aged between 11-18, with moderate learning difficulties. Each class size is between 5-6 children, with a learning support assistant in each class.
The school have their own curriculum in place, and they deliver a curriculum to the correct level the students work at. They are secondary aged students, however, they don't study to secondary level due to the level of needs the students have.
If you are a primary, secondary or SEND teacher then we would like to hear from you. If you can offer a specialism such as Literacy or Numeracy then that would be an advantage.
The school are open to a fixed term or permanent contract. The SLT team are extremely supportive, and they offer a fantastic training (CPD) schedule for all members of staff, which you will benefit from.
Establishing and developing relationships with parents and carers is a central part of their philosophy. Children learn best when the school and parents work together and they value the contribution that parents make to the school and endeavour to provide many opportunities for quality collaboration.
The school have a strong therapy team on site who asisst in the delivery of speech and language.
