SEN Teaching Assistant - Woolwich

A SEN Teaching Assistant is required for an ongoing contract commencing ASAP in Woolwich.

The Role:

An outstanding primary school in Woolwich are in search of a long term Special Educational Teaching Assistant to work one-to-one with children in Year 1 and with groups of children with low abilities. This is a full time position to start ASAP. Experience with SEN children is essential and the ideal candidate will have experience across KS1 in London classrooms. The children you would be required to work with will have Autism, EAL needs and low ability groups. This is a large school with classes of up to 30 students from a variety of cultural backgrounds, so a Teaching Assistant with an engaging and inclusive approach would suit this role. This post would suit an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with good command of English and the willingness to develop further. There is also scope for the role to continue on as long term and possibly permanent with time depending on individual development.

The school support staff to progress further and offer great training, development and resources. The senior leadership team are always available for thorough advice and guidance. They hold high expectations for all their staff with lots of support at hand. This is a typical inner-London school who have been rated Outstanding by Ofsted.

Requirements:

All candidates must have the right to work in the UK, relevant references from the last two years and current DBS subscribed on the online service. Anyone who does not will be required to carry out a new Enhanced DBS.
