Uniform Education are seeking an SEN Teacher to work with all age groups for one of our special education schools based in Greenwich.

The School

The school caters for SEND/PMLD pupils and consists of the deployment of specific support staff - Good, kind and patient individuals who can demonstrate genuine awareness of the types of needs the pupils may require. They are located in a modern building and have a great Ofsted rating.

You will be joining a great team with all staff committed to ensuring the pupils become independent learners and grow to be the best that they can be. The school is a really special place to learn and pupils are at the centre of everything.

If you are a dedicated SEN teacher looking for a new long term contact in a vibrant school, we are seeking to appoint a Teacher to start ASAP to cover classes with LSA's to support.

This is an ideal role for a Teacher with experience in teaching students with SEND, PMLD, ASD, SpLD and mild to moderate learning difficulties in Primary and secondary education.

The Role:

  • Ability to support those with mild, moderate or extreme multiple learning difficulties
  • Supporting teachers and children alike both in and out of the classroom
  • Having innovative ideas to help children access different styles of learning
  • Assisting the teacher with recording and tracking children's progress
  • Ability to adapt strategies depending on child's needs
  • Encouraging and positive attitude
  • Mentoring and other means of support on a one to one basis and in small groups
  • Ability to travel to Greenwich
  • Experience working with SEN children

The ideal candidate:

  • Hold QTS
  • Preferably experience in either EBD, MLD, ASD, SpLD, BESD, PMLD or any relevant
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Enthusiast about working with children
  • Able to manage behaviour effectively
  • An excellent team player
