Uniform Education are proud to be exclusively partnering with a good, small, inclusive co-educational Church of England school in the borough of Lambeth in their recruitment for an exceptional Teacher of Religious Education. This is a long-term post to start in October 2018.
This is a much smaller than average sized Church of England secondary school in Lambeth where two thirds of students are girls and boys were admitted for the first time four years ago and are currently in Years 7 to 9. This is a real community School which encourages all their students to achieve excellence by working hard, continuously improving, growing spiritually and thinking of others. The School recognises the importance of appropriate encouragement and support and with that ethos believe their students will shine with confidence in their learning, grow in their spiritual and moral awareness and develop the skills and attitudes necessary to make the world a better place.
They are committed to recognising, and fully developing, the potential of each and every student, whatever his or her starting point. They set high expectations in all things and pride themselves on getting the best out of people. Their staff are committed and enthusiastic, and the school expect the same from their students too.
The School operates from a broad and balanced curriculum, which fully prepares students to go on to achieve highly in sixth form and university. They put particular emphasis on developing students' in the Creative Arts. As an example there is an expectation all pupils learn a musical instrument in Year 7. The School believes that music imparts the discipline required for academic success and the joy that shared performance brings.
The School work as a family. Each tutor group has students aged 11 to 16. This ensures excellent relationships across the school: students support and encourage each other, and each child is known and nurtured. They place emphasis on strong partnerships with parents and carers make a huge difference to success at school, so there is a desire to work hard on building strong home/school relationships.
In return for working in this warm environment will be an expectation on being an outstanding practitioner within Religious Education. You will not only be a subject specialist but adept at inspiring and motivating young people and committed to the School ethos. The successful applicant must have proven experience in assisting and helping to organise a department, good interpersonal and presentation skills, be forward thinking, receptive to change and able to work under pressure.
If you match the above criteria and this sounds the kind of School environment you would enjoy working in, Lambeth is a suitable location and you are a Religious Education specialist with QTS or a recognised equivalent overseas qualification that is available for an October 2018 start, then please get in touch today to have your CV immediately reviewed.
