Job Description

This oversubscrived and succesgful primary school in the borough of Westminster are seeking an experienced and intuative reception tecaher who would be open to becoming Phase leader.

This four form entry school, larger than most primary schools have a solid background, run by an inspirational and approachable Head teacher. They are looking for a prven early years teacher, somebody who has previous leadership experience would be ideal.

You will be looking for the next step in your teaching career and looking for more responsibility than class teaching. You will ideally have experience across all three primary stages, although early years is obviously essential.

Your role will include but not be limited to:

Working collaboratively with colleagues and the head teacher to advise on all aspects of the EYFS curriculum

Coordinate and oversee all activity within the early years stage

Ensure there is a smooth transition between Nursery and reception for all the pupils

Planning and delivering a varied, engaging and appropriately challenging curriculum

Working cohesively alongside your fellow Year 1 teachers to plan and share ideas

Ensuring the academic attainment of your children grows inline with the national standards

Ensuring the emotional and physical well being of your children is paramount, reporting any issues and following the safeguarding policy of the school

Immerse yourself into the strong community they have developed at the school

Communicate with external agencies; parents, social services, BOAT, speech and language therapist etc

Identify any SEN within your Year 1 class and report them accordingly and where appropriate make the relevant referrals
