The ideal History teacher will be an engaging, dynamic and confident educator who will be able to inspire the students. The Head is looking for a highly qualified and enthusiastic History specialist who is able to teach across the 11-18 age range, be passionate about History and committed to improving teaching and learning. The successful History teacher must have good interpersonal and presentation skills, be forward thinking, receptive to change and able to work under pressure. You can be an NQT starting out your teaching career or an experienced History teacher looking for a new challenge.
The History Department in this popular and successful school consists of 5 full-time staff. The Department enjoys excellent accommodation with interactive whiteboards in every classroom and priority access to one of the school's computer rooms. Students begin studying for GCSE in Year 9. The department operates as a close-knit team, with all staff agreeing to their contribution towards formulating policy and supporting the importance of History in the curriculum.
