Assistant Head Teacher KS1 & Inclusion required in an outstanding school in Greenwich

A highly skilled practitioner with strong leadership to Key Stage one required in an Outstanding Primary School located in the borough of Greenwich.

The Role:

The school is looking for an Assistant Head Teacher who will give strong leadership to Key Stage one and continue with the schools excellent provision for inclusion on a permanent basis starting from September 2018. The successful candidate will also be a safeguarding lead for the school. This role is in the Senior Leadership Team. All members of the SLT contribute to the overall leadership of the school. This post would suit someone with previous senior leadership experience working in mainstream primary schools in London with QTS. Experience dealing with safeguarding, dealing with parents and local authorities will be beneficial but not essential.

The School:

The school is a large and very popular four form entry primary school with a campus in West Thamesmead and one in Woolwich. Extensive regeneration is taking place in the area in anticipation of the arrival of Cross rail in Woolwich in 2018. Central London will then only be 18 minutes away! There are currently good public transportation links including the DLR and National Rail nearby.

The school previously was rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted and are very committed to sharing and developing leadership. Career progression for all their staff is a high priority. Behaviour is exemplary and pupils are exuberant, articulate, enthusiastic and well-mannered. This is a well-resourced school, with an attractive outdoor environment and are keen to continue and enhance staff professional development.

Requirements:

All candidates must have the right to work in the UK. Hold QTS, relevant references from the last two years and current DBS subscribed on the online service. Anyone who does not will be required to carry out a new Enhanced DBS.
