Are you an experienced HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) looking for a rewarding role in Leatherhead, Surrey?

Uniform Education is recruiting a SEND HLTA to support students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism (ASD), learning disabilities, and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact in a specialist or inclusive school setting.

HLTA Role – SEN Support (Leatherhead)

As an HLTA in Surrey, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver high-quality, tailored support to students with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND

• Assist in planning and delivering individualised learning programmes

• Support students’ emotional, social, and academic development

• Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment

• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals

• Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning

Requirements – HLTA (Leatherhead, Surrey)

To be considered for this HLTA job in Surrey, you should have:

• Experience working with children with SEND / SEN

• HLTA status or significant experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach

• Ability to respond to individual learning and behavioural needs

• A proactive attitude and passion for supporting young people
